It also sets which translation opens when you follow a “Read in your Bible” link. Some translations we can link to but not display here; where that happens we say so on the screen rather than quietly substituting another.

Licensed translations are shown BSB, NLT, CSB, NKJV and are displayed under licence from their publishers. We display them exactly as published and never alter the text.
